A comedy whodunit, the film is being scripted by James Vanderbilt of 'Zodiac' fame.
Theron will also produce the picture via her Denver and Delilah Productions banner, joining Tripp Vinson, Beau Flynn and Vanderbilt, along with Endgame Entertainment's James D Stern and Tower Hills William Shively, the Hollywood Reporter said.
According to the producers, the film is "an affectionate deconstruction of an Agatha Christie-style thriller" and revolves around an American couple on honeymoon who are implicated in a murder they witnessed.
