"I want to see most severe punishment for the culprits (behind the hooch tragedy). They should be hanged," an official of Chief Minister Office's quoted Fadnavis as saying at a meeting of senior police officials here today.
Crime Branch officials met Fadnavis to brief him about the ongoing investigation in the hooch tragedy in suburban Malwani, he said.
The Chief Minister asked the authorities to build a water-tight case in the spurious liquor case, the worst such tragedy in the financial capital, the CMO official said.
Later, a meeting on internal security also took place in which Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria and Additional Chief Secretary (Home) K P Bakshi, among others, were present. The meeting was presided by Fadnavis.
