Goa Police today said it will question two government officials who initially went through a letter threating to harm Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
"We will have to first record statements of the person who collected the letter and also the one who read it for the first time," a senior police official attached to Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Goa Police which is probing the case told PTI today.
"We are trying to see whether we can get the leads from there (on the origin of the letter)," the official said requesting anonymity.
The postcard letter, purportedly signed by ISIS was received on January 13 by State Secretariat in Porvorim near here.
Yesterday, State Inspector General of Police V Renganathan said that police are inquiring into all the possibilities.
"We have even stepped up security in the state," he had said.
