Three-day old calf dies in elephant camp

: A three-day-old male calf, born to a captured pachyderm in the elephant camp in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) in the district died today.
The calf had been in good health till last night and the cause of death would be known only after post-mortem, Dr Vijayaraghavan, a veterinarian attached to the forest department said.
The calf was born on June 4.
