Three held for peddling high-end narcotics

Excise officials today arrested three persons, including an aeronautical engineer, from Malkajgiri here for allegedly peddling high-end narcotics and seized LSD and MDMA worth around Rs 70,000 from them.
The accused are identified as I Shiva Shankar Reddy, a final year B.Com student, B Akshay, aeronautical engineer, and Mohd Ashraf (all aged between 23 to 25), a senior official said.
The officials seized 24 lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) blots and two and methylenedioxy- methamphetamine (MDMA) units from them and a case under NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act was registered.
Telangana Excise department had busted a racket of supplying high-end narcotics in and around Hyderabad in July this year and subsequently arrested 22 people, including three foreigners apart from seven B.Tech graduates employed with MNCs here.

The officials had questioned several Tollywood personalities subsequently as part of the probe.
