Three persons were killed when a tractor ran over them in Uttar Pradesh's Chitrakoot district, police said.
"Three persons were sitting in an agricultural field near their harvested wheat crop. Suddenly, a tractor, which was kept at some distance on a slope, started moving and ran over them," Station House Officer, Mau police station, Subhash Chandra Chaurasia said.
While one of them died at the spot, others succumbed to injuries on the way to a hospital, he said.
The deceased were identified as Shyam Sundar (80), Babbu Prasad (45) and Kunti Devi (60), he said.
