The accident happened when the car, in which they were travelling in, was hit by a speeding truck, coming from behind, Circle Officer (Pindra), Paramhans Mishra said.
Two deceased have been identified as, 50-year-old Awadesh Nath Tripathi, branch manager of Bank of Baroda in Azamgarh district, and Virendra Kumar Pathak (46), a doctor by profession and native of Azamgarh, said Mishra.
Identity of the third deceased was not yet confirmed, he added.
According to police, the three were on way to Azamgarh in the ill-fated car early this morning.
The truck has been seized and driver is absconding.
A manhunt has been launched to nab the driver, Mishra said.
