The incident happened two days ago, and the accused doctor had been arrested, a senior police official said, adding that he was later released on bail.
According to police, Geetanjali, Mamata and Kusum, all MBBS students of the college, after attending an event they were going back to their hostel at around 11.30 PM on April 9, when a speeding car hit them from behind.
The accused was arrested and later released on bail, said a senior police officer.
She claimed that the car was being driven at a very high speed and in a reckless manner, they said, adding that the injured were rushed to the Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan hospital by the doctors present there.
At the hospital, claimed Geetanjali, Dr Varun visited them and apologised.
While she was being treated in LNJP, the other two were later referred to another hospital, but all the three were discharged today, police said.
