Police gave the names of the deceased as Sureshbabu (45), his wife Sajeelkumari (40) and their daughter Drassya (14). It was suspected that they might have consumed poison.
Their 16-year-old son Adarsh was admitted to a private nursing home in a serious condition.
Financial burden was suspected to be the reason for the extreme act, police said.
