The data on terror attacks in the hinterland of the country given by Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary shows three such attacks in 2014 and one in 2015, in which a total of 11 people were killed.
The data says bomb blast in Burdwan on October 2, 2014 is the handiwork of Jammat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh in which seven arrests were made by the NIA.
The perpetrators of the remaining three--IED explosion at Chennai Central Railway Station on May 1, 2014 probed by CB CID Tamil Nadu, IED blast in Bengaluru on December 28, 2014 probed by NIA and terror attack in Gurdaspur on July 27, 2015 probed by Punjab Police remain unidentified with no arrest being made, the data shows.
