Tigress dies in Maharashtra zoo

A-15-year-old tigress today died following a brief illness at the Siddarth zoo here, officials said.
The Yellow tigress named Dipti was not consuming any food since the last two days and she died this morning inside the zoo, its Director Vijay Patil said.
Dipti was brought to the zoo in 2005 from Mahendra Chaudhry Zoological Park in Punjab. In 2010, she had given birth to two offsprings.
Since last five years, she had become blind, the officer said.
