Tin firms up on rising demand

Tin prices surged further at the non-ferrous market here today following rising demand from alloy industries.
Lead prices also edged up due to mild offtake from alloy industries.
While, select copper, brass utensils scrap, zinc and nickel eased owing to poor demand from industrial users.
Tin prices climbed by Rs 12 per kg to Rs 1,275 from Saturday's closing of Rs 1,263 and lead inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 129.
However, copper utensils scrap moved down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 341 from overnight closing level Rs 344.
Nickel, copper cable scrap and copper scrap heavy edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 680, Rs 375 and Rs 370 from weekend's close of Rs 682, Rs 377 and Rs 372, respectively.
Copper armature, brass utensils scrap and zinc softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 365, Rs 270 and Rs 165, respectively.
