The state-run varsity said devotional songs and music will be played in the mass prayer, to be held in its premises, for the speedy recovery of the "founder and chancellor of the university, Chief Minister Puratchi Thalaivi Amma (Jayalalithaa)".
Supporters and AIADM workers continued to offer prayers in several places of worship across the state for Jayalalithaa, who was hospitalised on September 22.
Yesterday, Apollo Hospital had said that Jayalalithaa's health condition "continues to improve" and the same line of treatment, including antibiotics and other clinical measures, were being continued.
