Constable Mudasir Ahmad, injured in the attack on a police station in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on July 15, succumbed to injuries at a hospital here this morning, a police official said.
He was the second policeman to die in the ongoing unrest in the Valley.
On July 15, while a mob pelted stones at Police Station Yaripora in Kulgam, suspected militants hurled a grenade at the police station from behind the mob, resulting in injuries to six policemen including Ahmad.
He was injured during the violent clashes on July 10 that erupted in the Valley following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter on July 8, the police official said.
