Top cricketers to attend book release function

A galaxy of top cricketers, past and present, will gather in the city Friday at a function to release a coffee table book on the journey of cement major, India Cements.

Former India captain M S Dhoni, the CSK skipper, past national team captains Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Dilip Vengsarkar and K Srikkanth will be present, a company release said.

The book on the journey of India Cements and 50 years of association of vice-chairman and managing director N Srinivasan will be released by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami.

Dhoni will receive the first copy.

In addition, cricketers including VVS Laxman, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Yashpal Sharma, Ajay Jadeja, Syed Kirmani, Javagal Srinath, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik will be present along with past and present Tamil Nadu players.
