It accused the government of adopting "double standards" when it came to having a Sainik Colony and separate Kashmiri Pandit township in the Valley.
"While the construction of Sanik Colony for the retired and serving security personnel from the state and a colony for Kashmiri Pandit migrants have not seen the light of the day because of the threats from anti nationals, the government is allowing the settlement of non-state subjects and foreign nationals (Rohingya refugees) in Jammu," Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu (CCIJ) Chief Rakesh Gupta told reporters here today.
Gupta said CCIJ is "shocked" with "permanent" settlement of hundreds of non-state subjects in Jammu.
"Chamber also questions the law enforcing agencies for their silence and inaction in this matter that too in a state where national and state security should be of prime concern," he said.
CCIJ attacked the government for denying the rights to refugees from West Pakistan while being "mute spectator to the unlawful settlement of foreign nationals."
"The Chamber wants to convey to the state government to either implement in toto or abolish Article 370 of the constitution," he said.
