"During a meeting of senior officials chaired by Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand yesterday, Railway officials informed that Dallirajhra rail route will be extended upto Daundi village as early as possible," a government official said today.
Notably, construction of Dallirajhara-Rowghat-Jagdalpur broad-gaugerailwayprojectcovering a length of 235 kms is underwaythat would facilitate evacuation of rich iron-ore from the pocket considered to be under the influence of Maoists in north Bastar region.
Laying of 95 kms of railwaytracks in the first phase fromDallirajharato Rowghat is going on at a rapid pace.
Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary has directed expedition of work of the first phase of the project, he added.
Besides, the CS also reviewed the construction of Kharsia-Dharamjaigarh EastRail CorridorandGevra -Pendra RoadEast WestCorridorprojects coming up in northern Chhattisgarh.
Principal Secretary Home, BBR Subramaniam, DGP AN Upadhyay, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest AA Boaj and other senior officials were present for the meeting.
