Trout Fish Feed mill set up in J&K

A Trout Fish Feed mill has been established at the National Fish Seed Farm in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir - the first in the country.
"The department of Fisheries has established a state of art Trout Fish Feed Mill, which has been imported from Holland, at National Fish Seed Farm Manasbal," an official spokesman said today.
He said the Feed Mill is highly sophisticated, equipped with latest technology for producing extruded pellets of Trout Fish Feed and is first of its kind in the country.
"The Feed Mill has been established to cope up the increasing demand of Trout Feed for private fish farmers as well as the Government Fish Farms. The commercial production of extruded pelleted (floating type) has started from the Mill," the spokesman said.

He said the department has made a sale of Trout Feed to department of livestock Royal Government of Bhutan.
"The Trout Feed Mill established is not only able to meet the demand of Trout feed requirement of the State, but the Department can also export it to the other states of the country and to the neighboring Asian countries as well," the spokesman said.
