A police patrol party was conducting checking of vehicles at main market in Ramgarh during which they recovered 7 Kg and 840 grams of Poppy from the cabin of the truck, a police officer said.
The police while taking cognizance into the matter seized the contraband item as well as the truck. The driver of the vehicle namely Pritam Chand was also arrested, he said.
A case has been registered against the accused person and the investigation is taken up.
