The TTE, N C Besra, was checking tickets when an altercation broke out with a passenger and later he was thrown out of Jha Jha Asansol EMU (63688 down) local train just before Mathurapur railway station of the district, about 35 km from Deogarh town, sources said.
Besra was taken to Madhupur Railway Hospital, from where the doctors referred him to a hospital at neighbouring Asansol.
"The incident took place around 2.30 pm," Public Relations Officer of Asansol Division of Eastern Railway, B Murmu said.
