The "Philip's Top Ten" actor, who is returning to small screen after a gap of 16 years with Star Plus show "Sumit Sambhaal Lega", said he could not say no to the offer as he wanted to do a TV role. It is the Indian adaptation of American TV sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond".
"Television is going through great period. I came to know that the channel is adapting this show and when they told me how professionally they are making it, I got excited," Kaushik said.
"I come from a theatre background and this kind of working environment suits my sensibilities best where you can really craft your roles. I had some other plans but I decided to give my nine to ten months to this show," he said.
