TV18 Broadcast Q1 net loss at Rs 154.54 crore

TV18 Broadcast Ltd today reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 154.54 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014 due to a one-time exceptional expense of Rs 223.28 crore.
The company had reported of net profit of Rs 5.93 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
Income from operations stood at Rs 527.73 crore during Q1, 2014-15, up 34.01 per cent, as against Rs 393.77 crore in the same period last fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
Overall expenses during the quarter were at Rs 509.5 crore as against Rs 383.4 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

The company's scrip closed at Rs 29.95 apiece on the BSE at the end day's trade, up 0.84 per cent from its previous close.
