The duo were intercepted by CISF personnel late yesterday night when the women, identified as Bulayi Nthabiseng Josephin (42) and Mkhaliphe Grace Bongiw (41), came to the airport and were scheduled to travel to Nairobi.
Josephin, according to security officials, was intercepted after her activities were found suspicious and when her bag was searched 41kgs of popular party drug Pseudoephiderine was recovered.
"This lady led CISF sleuths to the second woman Bongiw who was also present at the airport and was to board the same flight," a senior officer said.
Both the women, the officer said, were on a tourist visa to India and had arrived here on July 17.
The CISF subsequently informed Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) authorities who took both the women in their custody for further interrogation.
