Two arrested for cow slaughtering

Two persons were today arrested by police on charges of cow slaughtering in Sangrur district.
Police said the two were a part of a six-member gang.
Earlier, some carcasses were spotted near Malerkotla drain on September 10 by some locals who reported the issue to police.
SSP Sangrur, Mandeep Singh Sidhu said police have arrested two persons in this regard and both the accused have confessed to their crime during interrogation.
A case of cow slaughtering and hurting religious sentiments of a particular community has been registered against them, he said.
