"Kumar cannot absolve himself of the scam because he was the CM and the Health Minister when all this was happening. Moreover, a case had been filed about it in the Patna High Court. Documents were provided and received at the CM's Secretariat. He cannot feign ignorance in the matter," Modi, the former Deputy Chief Minister, told reporters.
Modi and Kumar have been locked in a "letter war" over the medicine scam.
Modi held the state government responsible for the death of a patient who was administered "sub-standard" drug.
"It (death) could have been avoided had the government acted after getting the lab test report that the medicines supplied by black-listed firms were bad," he said on the sidelines of his 'Janata Darbar'.
Modi demanded Rs 10 lakh as compensation for the deceased's family.
