The first incident was reported at Shantinagar police station under Bhiwandi division where accused Mohammad Akram Jaki Ansari, 19, took the 12-year-old victim to the house of his friend and abused him there on Monday.
When the boy returned home on Tuesday and narrated his ordeal, his parents confronted the accused who in turn allegedly threatened and abused them.
Subsequently, they filed a police complaint. An offence under sections 377, 323, 504 and 506 of the IPC and also sections 4 and 8 of the POCSO Act 2012 was registered against the accused and he was arrested yesterday.
Police said the accused Gulab Harishchandra Gupta, a vegetable trader caught hold of the boy who was walking alone along a roadside and abused him.
The Kasarwadavali police booked the accused under sections 377 of the IPC and also sections 3 and 4 of the POCSO ACT 2012.
