Bodies of Ashish Das (20) and Animesh Nand (22), who drowned in the river yesterday have been recovered, Korba's Additional Superintendent of Police S Pauranik said.
According to preliminary investigation, around 15 members of a family had gone for picnic near Ahiran river. The duo went to bathe in the river without informing others and when they did not return after a long time their relatives started searching for them, he said.
Later when their clothes were discovered on the bank of river, the family members informed police. The bodies were fished out late in the night by divers, Pauranik said.
