Two elderly men killed in Meerut-Karnal highway crash

Two elderly men died and three others were injured when a speeding truck hit their car on a highway here, police said on Saturday.

The accident occurred on the Meerut-Karnal highway near Vigyana village under Budhana police station limits on Friday evening, they said.

While Amiruddin (60) and Shamshudin (70) died in the accident, the three injured were rushed to a hospital, police said.

The truck driver fled the spot and a search for him is on, they said.
