Two jail staffers injured in attack by inmate

An inmate of the Thane central jail allegedly attacked two staffers of the prison and injured them, police said.
The accused Arman Sheikh attacked the duo with a sharp weapon and injured them this morning, a senior official said.
Jail officer Sambaji Pise and sepoy Subash Rabade sustained injuries and were provided first aid at a hospital, he said.
A case under relevant sections of IPC was registered and a probe was on, the officer added.
