The vehicle, which was on its way to Kashmir from Jammu, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Digdool area of the district, they added.
Two persons died on the spot and one was injured. Army and Police launched operation to evacuate the dead and injured from the area. Locals also helped in the rescue operation, they said.
The injured was hospitalised, they said adding that a case was registered in this connection and investigation has started.
