Two lovers commit suicide in MP village

A 19-year-old man and his 17-year-old girlfriend allegedly committed suicide in the early hours today by hanging themselves from a tree on the outskirts of Naudihawa village in the district, a police officer said.
According to the officer, the family members of the duo recently came to know about their affair and scolded them.
"Both of them were allegedly having an affair. Their family members came to know about it recently and scolded them, which probably drove them to kill themselves," said Chitrangi police station in-charge, Ajay Rajoria.
He said the villagers spotted the bodies in the morning and subsequently informed the police.

While the man used a dupatta to hang himself, the girl used a rope, the officer said.
The police have registered a case and further investigation is on, he added.
