The two plumbers, Manoj Beuria and Pankaj Beuria who are brothers, were tracked by electronic mobile tracking system to their village Parinuapada and arrested in a joint operation by the Sikkim and Odisha police, Kendrapara Superintendent of Police, Rabi Narayan Behera said.
The police recovered 300 gram of gold jewellery, two kg of silver ornaments and Rs 2.5 lakh cash from their possession, Behera said.
The two who had migrated to Gangtok from Odisha two years ago, entered the residence of the additional advocate general J B Pradhan on January seven, while he and his wife were away and stole the valuables and cash and returned to their village.
