The Uttarakhand Cabinet today decided to convene a session of the Assembly on April 29, paving the way for Chief Minister Harish Rawat to go for a floor test as directed by the High Court.
In a Cabinet meeting, chaired by Rawat, it was decided to convene a session of the Assembly on April 29 as per the direction of the Uttarakhand High Court, Rawat's media advisor Surendra Kumar told PTI.
The High Court had yesterday quashed the imposition of President's rule in the state and revived the Congress government headed by Rawat, who has been asked to prove his majority in the Assembly on April 29.
