Udhampur DPO shifted

Taking note of poor implementation of a centrally-sponsored scheme in Udhampur, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj minister Ali Mohammad Sagar today ordered shifting of the District Panchayat Officer (DPO).
The Minister issued the direction while reviewing the implementation of centrally-sponsored Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA) in Jammu region.
The programme aims at improving sanitation in rural and far-flung areas.
The minister set up a committee to conduct on-the-spot inspection of works done in each district under the scheme.
