An announcement to this effect was made by Rawat while reviewing compensation being given to affected families in Pauri district where cloudbursts, floods and landslides had claimed 14 lives on August 15 this year besides causing large scale damage to roads, drinking water projects and power supply lines in the area, an official release said.
Those who lost their livestock in the calamity will get compensation as per the extent of their loss and not a fixed amount as compensation, Rawat was quoted as saying.
Rawat asked the Irrigation department to submit a plan detailing flood control measures to be taken near Sukhro, Malan and Khau rivers as soon as possible.
