Ultras planning subversive activities ahead of Tripura polls

"We have definite information that the ultras are preparing to launch subversive activities ahead of the assembly elections and our forces are ready," IG Assam Rifles, Maj Gen Satish Dua told reporters here yesterday.

"After shifting base from Bangladesh the ultras are trying to be active. All the four Assam Rifles battalions in Tripura have been alerted about the new development," he said.
