The three month long football league for girls will be participated by 22 school teams from Delhi and NCR. It will be inaugurated on October 16, said Rajiv Chandran officer in-charge of UNIC for India and Bhutan.
The UN has undertaken the initiative in collaboration with the NGO Suveda and Sonalika Social Development Society, he said today.
The trophy of the league was unveiled by the representatives of UN and collaborating organisations at UNIC premises.
The league format will be followed by semi-finals and final. All the matches will be played over weekend at Raj Niwas Ground. More than 300 girls are expected to participate in it.
