Unidentified miscreants has set
ablaze a portion of the guest house of the Madurai Kamaraj University at Nagamalaiputhukottai 20 km from here after threatening the staff Manickavel and locked him in a room.
Police said the miscreants entered the VIP room of the guest house and burnt some of the documents kept in the almirah there and burnt the furnitures also yesterday.
Te fire destroyed the room and furnitures thre.
The employees of the university who saw the smoke from the guest house rushed to the spot and put out the fire with the help of the fire service personnel last night.
