"We have recovered the body of an unidentified youth from the railway track in Channi and from the preliminary investigations it seems to be a case of suicide," Investigation Officer (IO) Ved Prakash said.
He said that a Delhi-Jammu train ticket was recovered from his pocket.
"It seems that he had come to Jammu from Delhi and had also visited Vaishno Devi shrine as we recovered a souvenir of the shrine from his pocket," he said.
"The youth seems to be in his early 20's. We have kept the body in the mortuary and investigations are on to ascertain identify of the deceased," he said.
