Sampla alleged that "cooked-up" cases were being registered against his supporters at the behest of some local leader(s).
However he did not name anybody.
Sampla BJP MP from Hoshiarpur was addressing reporters after a case was registered yesterday by the local police against his close associate Avtar Singh Mand, a former Zila Parishd member.
The case was registered against Mand after alleged vandalisation of a house at his native village Mehtan on Friday night.
He asked officials not to register false cases against his supporters.
He warned that in case his supporters were harassed and implicated in false cases at the behest of somebody, he would then tackle such matters "in his own way".
However, he did not spell out as to what would be that way.
The case against Mand and others was registered under Sections 452 (house tresspass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 447 (punishment for criminal trespass) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC.
