"Protests were held at the district headquarters all over the state," party spokesman Vijay Saxena said here.
Party members from Faizabad dragged four-wheelers to lodge their protest over the price hike of diesel and petrol," he said.
In the state capital, party workers from the district and city units took out a march but were stopped from proceeding towards the Vidhan Bhawan, he said.
Similar reports have also come in from Varanasi where partymen held a joint fast, Saxena said, adding that protests were also held in Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Sitapur, Mirzapur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Aligarh, Muzafarnagar and Allahabad among others.
