UP covered in fog, Lucknow coldest at 3.6 deg C

Most parts of the state are covered in fog as cold wave continued in isolated parts of east Uttar Pradesh.
According to MeT department, night temperatures fell appreciably in Gorakhpur division, fell in Faizabad, Lucknow, and Meerut divisions, rose appreciably in Varanasi and Agra divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
They was markedly below normal in Gorakhpur division, appreciably below normal in Kanpur and Lucknow divisions, below normal in Varanasi, Faizabad, and Allahabad divisions and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
Lowest minimum temperature was 3.6 degree Celsius recorded in Lucknow.
Weather would be dry over the state, MeT department said.
