Kolli Vinay, the victim, was a student of a polytechnic. His father K Ramana found his dead body in a hut near the agricultural fields this morning.
His hands were tied behind the back and a thick polythene bag was wrapped around his head.
Police suspect that he was smothered with the bag.
According to parents, for the last one week he left the house every morning and returned in the evening, but did not go to the college.
Last evening he left the home but did not return.
