His statement came close on the heels of his party's yesterday's announcement that it will hold sit-ins at the border check posts along Pakistan on January 5 "to create awareness about drugs".
Notably, the party on Sunday had announced that it would organise dharnas on the IB to "pressurise the BSF" to stop entry of drugs from "Pakistan side".
Sukhbir, however, today asserted that BSF should raise its surveillance at international borders to check the flow of drugs.
Badal said the international border should also be equipped with CCTVs cameras and sensors by using ultra modern technologies.
SAD President further said it will be the party's mission to wipe out drugs from the state while advocating the need to seal the international borders completely to check flow of drugs into the state.
Presiding over a meeting of party office bearers from several districts including Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Jalandhar, to chalk out the preparation of proposed sit-in at Attari border on January 5, Badal said, "wiping out drugs should be our top mission in the new year."
