UP govt issues new power schedule

The Uttar Pradesh government today issued a new power schedule aimed at ensuring electricity supply from 4 am to 9 pm in rural areas of the state.
During a meeting called by Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan, principal secretary power Sanjay Agarwal said that as per the new schedule rostering would not be done in big cities after 11 pm.
He said that schedule for availability of power for 15 to 24 hour in urban areas and 10 hours in rural areas has been fixed.
The CS directed that power supply to the consumers must be ensured as per the schedule.
