"This is a serious matter. The government has ordered a probe in this regard. Basic Siksha Adhikari, Bareilly will probe the matter and give the report to the government," Basic Education minister Ram Govind Chowdhury told reporters here.
Araj, a kindergarten student of a private school in Bareilly's Rath village, died after he was allegedly beaten up by his teacher, police said.
According to an FIR filed by the parents of the minor, they got a call from the school that they should come to pick up their ward as he was ill, SP Rural Brijesh Kumar Srivastava had earlier said.
