Urban Dev Ministry approves road projects worth Rs 66.68 cr

The Union Ministry of Urban Development has approved Rs 66.68 crore road and drain projects for Hojai and Lanka in Assam under the Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Town (UIDSSMT).
This was informed by Union Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath in a letter to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, official sources said heree today.
The Union Minister asked the Department of Expenditure, union Ministry of Finance to release the funds to the Assam Government for the projects.
The project cost for roads and drains for Hojai and Lanka has been approved at Rs 37.74 crore and Rs 28.93 crore, respectively, the sources said.
