Vaishno Devi pilgrim dies due to cardiac arrest in Katra

A Vaishno Devi-bound pilgrim died allegedly due to cardiac arrest near Bhairon temple in Katra town of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when Rajeev Bhatia (40), a resident of Karnal in Haryana, fell unconscious near Bhairon temple from where hewas shifted to a dispensary, a police officer said.
The doctors at the dispensary declared Bhatia as brought dead, the officer said.
After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body was handed over to his relatives whohad come with him for the pilgrimage, he said.
