Cases were registered
against three persons, including a Village Administrative Officer (VAO) for making forged crop insurance documents to obtain crop loan, police said today.
P Kodikulam VAO Karthikeyan had helped D Talayari Shangmugam to get land documents in the name of his wife Valarmathi for the land owned by one Arumugam to enable her register under crop loan scheme and get crop loan.
There was no cultivation in Arumugam's land where only black babool trees had been grown.
On a complaint, crime branch police registered a case against the VAO, Shanmugam and Valarmathi.
