Vicky, who made a name for himself with performances in films like "Zubaan", "Masaan" and "Raman Raghav 2.0", is one of the contenders to play Deepika Padukone's husband in Bhansali's "Padmavati".
"He has auditioned for the role (of Deepika Padukone's husband). He is in talks but nothing is finalised yet," sources said.
"Padmavati" will reportedly feature Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the lead.
Deepika is busy with her international debut film "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage", where she will be seen sharing screen space with Hollywood star Vin Diesel.
